In accordance with the claim of the Prosecutor’s Office, activities of the two representations of foreign organizations have been banned in Ingushetia

INGUSHETIA, 17 January, Caucasus Times. According to the information from the General Prosecutor’s Office of Russia published on the web site of the Office, activities of two representations of the foreign organizations have been banned by the court in Ingushetia in accordance with the claim of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As it is noted in the report, the reason for that decision is the absence of a special permission to conduct the activities in Ingushetia.

Prosecutor’s Office submitted to Republican Supreme Court three claims requesting the ban on activities of three foreign organizations: “Center for Peace Keeping and Public Development” (United Kingdo), “HELP-help in Self-Help” (Germany) and “International Medical Corporation” (United States). Those claims were based on the results of the legal control of the activities of all foreign and other public humanitarian organizations functioning on the territory of Ingushetia.

“All three representations did not have necessary permission to conduct their activities required by the current legislation”, – the document says.

According to the document, two first claims have already been met; a third one is currently under consideration.

Last year Russian State Duma passed a new law on non-governmental organizations putting serious limitations on their activities in Russia. German Chancellor Angela Merkel during her meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin criticized this law and said she is going to follow how this law will be implemented in practice.
