Lawmakers approve a nominee for the vice-president office
ADYGEIYA, November 18, Caucasus Times, – Boris Gokzhaev, nominated by the President Sovemen of Adygeiya, has been approved by lawmakers at the joint session of both chambers of the republic’s parliament for the vice-president office of Adygeya, Caucasus Times correspondent reports citing the legislature’s press-service.
The fifteenth session of the Council of the Republic and Council of Representatives of the State Council “Khassa” of Adygeiya was held November18 in Maikop. The main agenda to be discussed at the session was the candidature of the vice-president, proposed by President Sovemen for the office, which had been vacant over the late year. Boris Gokzhaev, who had headed the regional branch of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Maikop was approved for the office only in the second vote after consultations with the President of Adygeiya.
Still, the post of the prime minister’s office of the republic has been vacant since former head of the cabinet Khazret Huadeh had been dismissed four months ago by President Sovemen – the third prime minister in late two years.
