Russian forces shelling of Galashki vicinity resulted in several civilian victims

Several locals were injured as a result of Russian federal forces shelling of the vicinity of Galashky in Ingushetia’s Sunzhensky district.

On June10, while Russian military armored vehicles moved in file along the Alkhasty-Galashky road servicemen on the one of armored personnel carrier reportedly started unmotivated shooting. Russian solders fired at random and heavily injured local inhabitants working in the nearby field the Gulieyvs, mother and her son who were delivered to the local hospital.

Ingushetia’s Interior Ministry said the department conducts investigation into the case. The Ingushi policemen claimed they in all probability would detect who shot since the license plate of the vehicle has been identified.

The inhabitants of Ingushetia are very concerned about abuses and misdeeds repeatedly committed by Russian federal servicemen. Arshty village, just recently being blockaded for several days by special forces was subjected to mass abuses and violation of human rights while the servicemen carried out ‘special operation’. Many Ingushi people concluded the Ingushetia’s authorities remained incapable to restrain the servicemen and get the situation under control.
